About LDEFENDER
Our motivation
LDEFENDER is a free security tool for Windows, with source code publicly available on GitHub. The project started with a simple goal: build security software that is not bloated, does not disturb users, and actually gets the protection job done.
Many security products today are oversized and overloaded with redundant features, bundled modules users never asked for, intrusive pop-up ads, and background processes that are hard to shut down. LDEFENDER takes a different approach — focus on core scanning and removal, and let users decide everything else.
LDEFENDER Security Center is the main program, built on the open-source ClamAV engine, combining our proprietary virus database with the native ClamAV database, providing real-time protection, multiple scan modes, startup management, and logging. LDEFENDER HIPS is an active-defense system protection tool that monitors system behavior to prevent malware from tampering with or damaging your system. LDEFENDER Secure Browser is a privacy-focused browser that adds an extra layer of protection to your online activities.
